Does anyone else buy themselves a little present when they finish a big project?

Recently I finished editing my newest manuscript. It’s finally ready to be sent out! And I knew just what I wanted to get myself…a piece of art I’ve been eying for months.

The manuscript I just finished is a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. While I was writing it, I came across this artwork and I knew that it captured the energy of my story (while telling such a vivid story of its own)!

Seriously, I could look at it all day, which is good, because I hung it in my writing room. 🙂
